By car:             The event will be signed from the A610 at Bullbridge 2 miles west of the A38 at Ripley and 0.5 mile east of the A6 at Ambergate.

Car parking is at Bowmer Rough Farm, Postcode DE4 5BY (SK350530).  Parking fee £1.

Please contact the organiser in advance if you intend to bring a minibus to the event.

 

By public

transport:         Train or ‘TransPeak’ bus service to Ambergate from Derby, Nottingham or Matlock, then 1.5 mile walk.

 

Terrain:            Wooded/semi-open hillside with some intricate contour detail and some crags.  Access to start not suitable for pushchairs.

 

Map:                 2006, Scale 1:7500 with 5m contours

 

Registration:    10.00 – 12.00  

 

Start times:      10.30 – 12.30

 

Punching:        The event will use SportIdent electronic punching.

If you do not have a SportIdent card, you can hire one at Registration. 

Hire fee of 50p for Seniors, free for Juniors.

 

Safety:              Competitors take part at their own risk.
Competitors must carry whistles and this will be checked.
Cagoules may also be compulsory, depending on the weather.

Please remember to report to Download even if you retire!

 

Facilities:         Toilets, Light Refreshments, First Aid

 

Dogs:               Allowed in the car park only and must be kept on a lead.

Short Blue, Blue, Short Brown, Brown. 

 

Please note if you wish to compete in the EMOA League then you should enter the appropriate colour coded course.
